III International Tourist Forum “Tourism Development Towards the Modern Environment” will be held in Arkhangelsk on May 28-30. The forum is organized by the Arkhangelsk Region Government, and is supported by the Federal Agency for Tourism.
In the plenary session and a number of roundtable discussions the forum participants will discuss issues of importance for tourism policy in Russia in general and in the Arkhangelsk region in particular.
The plenary session will be opened by the Arkhangelsk Region Governor Igor Orlov. The Governor will present tourism potential of the Pomor land, and its main growth areas.
— It is gratifying to say that the Forum has become a traditional venue for tourism professionals from Russia and abroad for connecting with each other. I wish all the participants had an efficient work searching for practical approaches to common projects and ideas, – the Governor said.
Special attention will be paid to development of international tourism cooperation in the Arctic, as well as territory branding, development of event and industrial tourism.
The forum will be attended by the federal and regional authorities, Russian and foreign experts, directors of tour companies and NGOs. Over 200 guests are estimated to participate in the forum.
